I’ve graduated from earning a popcicle for every bucket
of rocks I picked out of my dad’s garden. My university
training is in Fine Arts, and I developed a special love for 3-dimensional
sculptural forms.
24 years ago, my husband Joe and I moved to the Methow Valley
and created the Duck Brand Restaurant and Hotel. Having been
a gardener for many years in San Diego, I was excited about
learning to garden with the changes of the seasons in the Methow.
In
1997, my home garden was featured in a garden tour. My professional
landscape design work began shortly after that, with an invitation
to participate in the design of a large project. My home garden
has continued to evolve and now serves as a research and demonstration
garden.
